Biography
HRD Guru (The Go-to Guy for all your HR related concerns!) Mr. Darwin Rivers also known as Manila’s HR Guru! He is a Human Resource professional with more than  20 years of progressive leadership and management experience in Operations Management , CRM and Human Capital Management in the BPO/Call Center industry with leading global multinational companies.
A working student immediately after high school he has been employed as service crew in companies like RamCar (Mr. Donuts),Jollibee Food Corporation, Greenwhich Pizza, Baskin Robbins Ice Cream , 7-11 Convenience Store and was also employed in hotels like Holiday Inn and Mandarin Oriental. In 1997 he was chosen by the National Youth Commission (NYC)  as Representative for the Working Youth Sector in the 1st ever National Youth Parliament and was also a Deputy  at the MTRCB during the Ramos Administration
Mr. Rivers went to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines  (PUP) where he finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He also took his post-baccalaureate studies at the University of the Philippines (UP– Diliman) SOLAIR with a Diploma in Industrial Relations.
As a working professional he charted his career with large multinational Fortune 500 companies like DHL World Wide, ICT (now Sykes Asia), WinSource Solutions , SITEL, PFSWeb, DuPont , Canon and Omniglobe International.
In 2010 , he started his own Freelance Consultancy company  aptly named “Darwin Rivers + Associates Consultant to Management” where he had multiple engagements with numerous large and medium-size multinational companies and local organizations in various industries as an HR Executive Consultant.
Mr. Rivers also provides corporate training’s and public speaking engagements in topics of Human Capital Development.
Now back in the corporate world – Mr. Darwin Rivers is currently a Sr. Manager (Sr. HRBP) and Site Human Capital Consultant (HCC) for UHG UP-Ayala Techno Hub Site at the UnitedHealth Group a Fortune 500 Company which is Rank Nos. 6 by Forbes Magazine (2016). He also supports UHG programs across all PH Sites (Taguig, QC and Cebu)
He is Six-Sigma Certified (Green Belt) and has undergone Crisis Management Program certifications. He has also completed International Certifications Programs such as  Certified Human Resource Professional ( CHRP® ) and Certified Professional Manager (CPM®) Global Certification (Australia, Canada and UK).
The HRD Guru is an active member of different HR organizations and socio-civic networks. He also maintains his own professional blogs focused in Human Capital Management (www.hrdguru.wordpress.com) and the Founder/President of the #PhilippineHRGroup the Largest HR community in Facebook and LinkedIn with more than 35,000 members to date (2016).

The said Philippines HR Group successfully stage the Philippines HR Group Summit 2016 last November 18, 2016 at the MK Town Hall (Unilab-Bayanihan Center) which was attended by more that 250 HR Leaders from Luzon to Mindanao!

The Philippines HR Group is now planning to held regular Quarterly Learning Events in 2017 for the development of the Filipino Human Resource Professionals.
Mr. Rivers is also Certified Financial Consultant  making Financial Literacy & Wealth Management are also part of his core advocacies
